Peter

Peter started riding bikes when he was 11, or so, petrol was 2 shillings and 6 pence a gallon, and half a gallon was enough for a Saturday afternoons entertainment round the back of the local gravel pits before the local bobby turned up and told us to clear off !

Since then there is not much he has not done on a motorcycle, off or on road.

He became a bike instructor getting on for 30 years ago, first as a hobby, before giving up a boring office job designing roads to to work with CSM the first professional national training scheme. He set up Kickstart in 1997 to give him the freedom of running his own business.

Known for being very laid back, he will not get upset if you drop one of his bikes.

Sally

Sally is one of the company directors and manages the Kickstart office enabling the rest of us to enjoy ourselves instructing. You can trust Sally to recommend the best course for you, if 3 days are sufficient for your training then she will not try to sell you an unnecessary fourth day.

If you require advice regarding Licence issues (e.g. foreign, EU, disqualification etc.), then Sally can normally advise you straight away about what you need to do, and if not then she will quickly find out for you.

Sally with Kip Gamblin ( Home and Away and Casualty ), we would like to show you the picture of Robbie Williams as well but we were sworn to secrecy by his management.

Roz

Roz is Kickstart’s Chief Instructor. She is one of the best bike instructors you are ever likely to come across, not often seen in a dress, she is more likely to be found on her allotment when not working.

Roz is fully qualified to train new instructors, assess CBT training and carry out Direct Access Training, she consistently achieves a high pass rate at our local test centres.

Iain

What can you say about somebody  who rides a bike that belongs in an episode of Thunderbirds, a strange combination of a Stealth Bomber and an Industrial Generator, a motorcycle that  Motorcycle News recently described as a classic who’s time had come.  Not much, the  photo says it all.

Not quite, Iain has endured the trials of Cardington and is now qualified to train CBT Instructors and run DAS courses.

Toby

Toby is the latest instructor to come on board, he is as you can see a multifaceted character, by day a rather good DAS qualified Instructor, by night ?
