My favourite road ever ?
The B1057, it runs across country from Great Dunmow to Haverhill. Why is it so good? It has everything from zigzags with good visibility to none, it has hump back bridges, it has wide open corners, some straights but not too many, it takes skill to ride quickly, but it is brilliant fun. A great road to practice your cornering lines without too much traffic spoiling your rhythm.
A350 from Bath down to Poole, can be busy, has some brilliant scenery if the traffic is bad. Take a detour along the Melton Abbas road to avoid the bottle necks through Stourpaine
You can take a detour up Zigzag Hill if you fancy ( B3081 ) it goes off across country towards Cranbourne
A420 from Warmley to Chippenham, A4 to Marlborough and beyond, the old main road to London now by-passed by the M4. Nice wide open roads for relaxed riding, with great country side, if your not too busy to look at it.
