Kickstart Motorcycle Training run CBT, A2, and DAS courses in Bristol and Clevedon
Kickstart

Kickstart run Compulsory Basic Training ( CBT ), Direct Access Scheme ( DAS ) and Restricted ( A2 ) motorcycle, moped and scooter training courses from both our centres.
We have two training centres, Keynsham, near Bristol and Clevedon, Somerset.
Our Keynsham centre ( between Bristol and Bath ) is just a 10 minute ride away from the motorcycle test centre in Bristol, giving you easy access for your Module One test and plenty of time around the Module 2 test area. Keynsham Facilities
Our Clevedon centre has a Module One Training area on site. Clevedon Facilities
You can also split your course between Clevedon and Keynsham giving you easy access to your nearest test centre.
Established in 1997 we offer a friendly and professional service and are more than happy to talk about which motorcycle or moped training course would be best for you, with no pressure and without the dreaded sales script, just give us a call on 01179 866200.
All of our Instructors are Driving Standards Agency approved, and most have additional qualifications.
We also have an increasingly popular club organising runs and events, and occasional special offers, click here to go to our Face Book Page to see what is going on. Anyone who has a connection to Kickstart is welcome to join.
Direct Access Scheme

This is the course to take if you want to ride a large motorcycle, ( you will need to be 21 or over ).
This course is a lot of fun and in our opinion is the ideal way to get into motorcycling. You will start off on a 125 cc motorcycle and progress onto the larger bikes when sensible. Starting on a 125cc means you won’t feel intimidated by the weight and power of a 500cc motorcycle and we can teach you all the basics easily. Once on a larger bike you will soon get used to the extra weight and power of a “proper” motorcycle and we can build up your skills and confidence levels. So you will easily pass the Module One and Two tests.
Compulsory Basic Training

Need cheap transport ? Happy to ride a 50 or 125 on L plates ? Or want to gain experience on two wheels before taking the motorcycle tests then you will need a Compulsory Basic Training course.
Training is the important bit, it is not a test, I mention this because some people come in really stressed thinking I must get this right first time or I won't pass. It's really not like that at all, it is a fun day learning new skills, but you will have a head start if you have read the Highway Code and have a look at our sister web site Learn to Ride
You can take a CBT at either of our centres, Keynsham or Clevedon.
You must have provisional valid licence for the bike you are going to ride and you must be able read a standard number plate from at least 20.5 metres.
Come suitably dressed, we can loan jackets gloves and helmets, but strongly suggest that you have you own equipment.
You can take a CBT at either of our centres, Keynsham or Clevedon.
